Ivette Ferreras Spesia, LCSW
In my strengths-based approach to therapy, I will walk alongside you and help you develop the necessary tools to navigate the complexities of life. I understand that life is challenging, and as your therapist I will support you in self-exploration as you develop the coping skills necessary to take care of your mental health. As someone who comes from a traditionally therapy-averse culture, I know that starting therapy can be intimidating. I am a native Spanish speaker and first-generation immigrant, and I am especially passionate about helping people navigate social and cultural expectations in a way that honors their background without sacrificing their ability to have a healthy and balanced life.

I hold a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Michigan. I am EMDR trained and use mindfulness, CBT, EMDR, and DBT modalities in my practice. I typically work with teens and adults, and my areas of focus are depression, anxiety, trauma, mood disorders, and relationship concerns.
